There are many ways to get involved with Bunji Running. Wherever you are in the world, you can follow our 8-week training cycles, join a session, host one, or simply be part of this running community by sharing your own running journey. If you have a more specific goal or are looking for more detailed attention, you can sign up for personalised coaching with Mitch.

Become a member and you will have access to our training, sessions, virtual events and team forum. All profits will be donated to a charity.

MITCH HAYES

Head Coach

Since pouring over coaching books at night and running laps around his block as an 11 year-old, Mitch has been obsessed with coaching.  He was a keen high school coach through his university years while studying exercise science.  More recently, he’s coached and advised runners to personal bests from the 5k to the marathon.  He’s fascinated with using the latest science to make you a faster runner, but he’s most passionate about helping you find a deeper meaning in your running pursuing your own fulfilment.

Mitch is a passionate runner. After joining his high school cross country  team in Brisbane, Nudgee College's incredible running culture rubbed off on him.  He represented Queensland in several National Championships during university.  Mitch has a half marathon PB of 1 hour and 15 minutes. In recent years he has run 4 global marathons, finishing the 2019 NYC marathon in a personal best time of 2 hours and 42 minutes.
